The great zen master Teh Ch'eng painted this prophetic picture of the birthplace of history in the second great wave of paintings.

Master Ch'eng's immortal words ineluctably define the universe when he says: 'The line dangling in the green water allows all ideas of existence and non-existence to float to the surface until both become still.'
