Laika is back from space.

In 1957 Laika became the first dog in space, sent up by the soviets in their pioneering period of space research.

This stamp brings the feisty little dog back from space, albeit in a virtual sense.

The issue is based on a Rumanian commemorative of that period. A very collectable addition to the Hyperphilately catalogue.
